Sunrise Hot Bagels

I truly wish I had read the reviews before coming here.

I ordered two sausage, egg, and cheese sandwiches on toasted bagels with butter. The total came out to $22, which immediately felt excessive. When I questioned the price, an employee (Abrahim) adjusted it to $19 and change, explaining they charge $1.50 EXTRA for butter — despite the fact that there was barely any butter on the bagels at all.

The sandwiches themselves were extremely underwhelming:
• one thin egg
• a very small sausage
• dry bagels with little to no butter

For that price, it was absolutely not worth it. I left feeling dissatisfied and honestly didn’t even want the food anymore.

I called shortly after and was told to come back the next day to speak to the owner, Mike, for a refund. When I returned with my receipt (and my 4 year old daughter), I was immediately met with a defensive, rude, and disrespectful attitude. Instead of simply addressing the issue, Mike argued with me for several minutes as if I had to fight to get my own money back.

He questioned me repeatedly, spoke to me rudely in front of my child, and only processed the refund after going back and forth. He even demanded the sandwiches back, which felt unnecessary and frankly disgusting given how the situation was handled. I declined his offer for more food — I wanted nothing else from this place and will never return.

What’s most telling is that if you read the reviews, you’ll see many people complaining about the same exact issues: overpriced food, tiny portions, and rude service. I should have listened.

This place is overpriced, low quality, and not worth the disrespect. If customer service matters to you, go elsewhere. Businesses should never treat customers this way — especially in front of their children.

I’ve been coming here for 30 years. This place is a local legend and a staple everything is fresh. Everything is delicious. The atmosphere is good. They cook the food exactly how you want it. The place is clean. They have all the goodies they have all the snacks, all of the smoothies and everything that you could possibly want and to make matters even better it’s right across the street from Dunkin’ Donuts and the bagels are 10 times better I would recommend this place for the apocalypse bottom line.

Best bagels hands down!! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles by the staff. My food was ready in a few minutes and the bagel sandwich was incredible- perfect amount of everything I wanted. I also took some bagels to go on my way out and they were warm, fluffy and delicious! I definitely will be coming back and I highly recommend this spot! 🙂 I also took note of how clean the place was. I’ve walked into other bagel shops before and they weren’t nearly as clean as this place was.
